Members and roles
Invite people into the workspace, the four built-in roles, custom roles, seats and pending invitations.
Settings → Members (or Members in the sidebar). Viewing needs member.read; inviting and
changing roles needs Owner or Admin.
Invite someone
Enter an email and choose a role (Admin, Member or Viewer — Owner cannot be invited, there is exactly one).
Click Invite. The person receives an email with an accept link; the invitation sits in the Pending invitations table until they accept or you cancel it.
Every pending invitation holds a seat like a real member. When seats run out the Invite button locks and the screen says seats full — cancel an old invitation or upgrade the plan.
The four built-in roles

Custom roles (extra roles)
Beyond the built-in role, each member can carry extra roles — custom roles the workspace defines, which add permissions rather than replace them. Click the Extra roles cell on a member's row to pick them.
The rule: you can only create or assign permissions you hold yourself. An Admin cannot create a
role carrying workspace.delete.
Change a role, remove a member
- The Role cell on each row is a select; changes apply immediately.
- Remove (row menu) asks for confirmation, then frees the seat. The person loses access on their next page load.
Accepting an invitation
The invitee opens the link in the email → signs in → Join the workspace → Accept. Without an account yet, they sign up first with the invited email.
