Credits
What a credit is, the two credit buckets (plan and top-up), the spending order, and what happens when you run out.
One credit is one input token of the baseline model.
Everything Ragenta does with a model spends credits: a Chat answer, indexing a document (embedding, keywords, summary tree), reranking, an agent run, speech. Pricier models spend more credits for the same tokens; the exact figure per model is on Usage.
Two buckets

| Plan credits | Refilled each period by the plan (Starter 500k / month, Pro 2M per seat / month, Team 8M / month). Free has only the one-time 20,000 signup grant, never refilled. | Reset at the start of each period — unused credits do not carry over. |
| Top-up credits | Bought as packs or a custom amount, promo codes, support adjustments. | Never expire. |
Spending order: plan credits first, then top-up — bought credits are only touched once the plan bucket is empty.
Running low
- The balance in the top bar turns red below 5,000 credits — Too low for another answer.
- At zero, requests fail with
INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS; Chat and agents stop until you top up or the next period refills. - Auto-reload (automatic top-up at a threshold) is a paid-plan feature, configured through support while the screen is not in the app yet.
